Spaniel Field Trials

Spaniel Field Trials are held throughout the US and Canada. Field Trial stakes include Puppy, Amateur All Age and Open All Age. Puppy stakes include dogs that range in age from 6 months to less than 2 years old. Puppies must work the wind while covering the ground in quest for game. They must find game with precision and efficiency. They must be steady to flush and shot.They must accurately mark the fall of downed game and retrieve briskly and tenderly to hand. They also must show good control at all times with minimal handling.No championship points are awarded in puppy stakes. All age dogs must do all of the above and consistently perform for 3 series. They must run parallel to a brace mate while honoring the brace mate’s course and retrieves. Preparing your dog requires lots of time and hard work.

We are committed to providing a training program that will allow your dog to perform at his/her very best in the field. We also provide guidance for owners wishing to handle their own dog in competition.
